香港全年有 8 個月影得到銀河核心。下面逐月計出天文黑夜內的窗口長度同最高仰角。Hong Kong gets the galactic core for eight months of the year. Below is each month's window inside astronomical darkness, with its peak altitude.

滿月Full moon

下一個滿月，向東邊等Next full moon — watch the east

影滿月唔需要等天文台，只需要知道月出方位 —— 月出永遠喺東邊，但 365 日之間會由 55° 掃到 125°。A full moon shot needs no observatory — just the moonrise bearing. It always rises in the east, but sweeps from 55° to 125° across the year.

想影銀河就揀新月前後：下一個新月係 2026-11-09。For the Milky Way, aim around new moon — the next is 2026-11-09.

天文數字由本站自行計算（精度已對香港天文台核對）；雲量來自 Open-Meteo 分層預報。評分只講當刻條件，唔保證影得到 —— 天空嘅事冇保證。The astronomy is computed here (cross-checked against the Hong Kong Observatory); cloud comes from Open-Meteo's layered forecast. Scores describe conditions, never a guarantee — the sky does not promise anything.

點解唔直接用 Time and Date 或 Windy 嘅頁面？Why not just embed Time and Date or Windy?

因為兩者都只答一半問題。Time and Date 出時刻同方位，但唔會告訴你「企喺西環泳棚面向 265° 時，今日日落 256° 會落喺畫面左邊」。Windy 出雲圖，但唔會告訴你「低雲 70% 代表地平線會被遮」。呢一頁把兩件事夾埋計，所以答案係一句可執行的指示，而唔係兩個要你自己對照的數字。Because each answers half the question. Time and Date gives times and bearings, but never tells you that standing at Sai Wan facing 265°, today's 256° sunset will land left of frame. Windy gives you cloud, but not that 70% low cloud means the horizon is gone. This page puts the two together, so the answer is an instruction you can act on rather than two numbers you must reconcile yourself.

方位角點樣用？我手機指南針點對？How do I use the bearing with my phone compass?

所有方位都係正北 0°、順時針增加，即東 90°、南 180°、西 270°。開手機指南針，把機身平放對準你要的方向，讀數就係方位角。注意兩件事：手機會受附近金屬同磁場干擾，遠離欄杆同車；真正嘅北係「真北」，手機多數顯示磁北，香港兩者相差約 2–3°，對構圖影響細，但如果你要精準對位，加返呢個差。Every bearing is measured clockwise from true north: east 90°, south 180°, west 270°. Hold your phone flat, aim along the edge, and read the number. Two caveats: metal and magnetic fields nearby will skew it, so step away from railings and cars; and phones usually show magnetic north, which differs from true north by roughly 2–3° in Hong Kong. That is small for framing, but add it back if you need precision.

「低雲 70%」點解會令日落影唔到？Why does 70% low cloud kill a sunset?

因為低雲貼住地平線。日落之所以靚，係因為太陽落到地平線附近時，光線由下面打上高雲，把雲底染成橙紅。如果低雲有 70%，太陽未落到「打光」的角度就已經入咗雲層，你見到的只會是一片灰。相反，高雲 50%、低雲 10% 係最理想：低雲唔擋，高雲接光。呢個就係本頁對日落同銀河用兩套完全不同評分公式的原因。Because low cloud sits on the horizon. A good sunset happens when the sun drops near the horizon and lights the underside of high cloud from below. With 70% low cloud, the sun enters the deck before it reaches that angle and all you get is grey. The ideal is the opposite: 50% high cloud, 10% low. That is why this page scores sunset and the Milky Way with two entirely different formulas.

今晚唔係滿月，仲影唔影得？It is not a full moon tonight — can I still shoot it?

影得，但題材唔同。滿月影「月出」——大、橙、貼海平線，只有升起後 20 分鐘有。娥眉月或上下弦月反而更適合影「月面細節」：因為有明暗交界（terminator），環形山會有影子，用 200mm 以上可以影到隕石坑。滿月因為正面全光，反而最平。所以本頁會同時列出下一個滿月同今晚月相，由你決定影邊種。Yes, but a different subject. A full moon is about the rise — big, orange, hugging the sea horizon, available for about 20 minutes. A crescent or quarter moon is better for surface detail: the terminator throws shadows across craters, so 200mm and up resolves them. A full moon is frontally lit and therefore the flattest. That is why this page shows both the next full moon and tonight's phase.

銀河真係喺香港影得到？Can you actually photograph the Milky Way in Hong Kong?

影得到，但有條件。香港光害重，市區連最光嘅星都數得清；要影到核心，一定要去西貢東（萬宜水庫東壩）、蒲台島、大帽山或大東山這類地方，並且要等天文黑夜（太陽低於 -18°）、核心高於 10°、以及總雲量低。本頁的銀河評分會把月光一併計算 —— 滿月當晚就算天清，核心都會被月光洗淡，所以評分會自動壓低。Yes, with conditions. Light pollution is severe; in the urban core you can count the visible stars. To get the core you need Sai Kung East (High Island East Dam), Po Toi, Tai Mo Shan or Sunset Peak — plus astronomical darkness (sun below -18°), the core above 10°, and low total cloud. The score here also factors moonlight: on a full-moon night even a clear sky washes the core out, so the number drops accordingly.

點解同一個位，你寫嘅日落方位同我上次影唔同？Why is the sunset bearing different from last time I shot here?

因為日落方位全年會移動 51°。夏至（6 月 21 日）香港日落喺 296°（西北偏西），冬至（12 月 21 日）喺 245°（西南偏西）。所以同一個位，夏天要向西轉多 50° 才對到太陽；冬天反而要向西南。本頁每個點都寫明「幾月至幾月最貼近」，就係為咗避免呢個錯。Because the sunset bearing travels 51° across the year. At the June solstice it sets at about 296° (west-northwest); at the December solstice, 245° (west-southwest). So from the same spot you must swing 50° further west in summer and back southwest in winter. Each entry here states which months line up, specifically to prevent that mistake.

評分 80 分係唔係代表一定影到？Does a score of 80 mean I will get the shot?

唔係。評分只係把「預報講嘅條件」量化，方便排序。天空可以在 20 分鐘內由晴變陰，預報解析度係 1 小時、格點約 1–3 公里，兩者都粗過你眼前那一朵雲。所以我們用「條件好／一般／唔理想」，而唔用「成功率」。到場之後，你自己的眼睛永遠準過任何預報。No. The score quantifies the forecast's conditions so entries can be ranked. The sky can go from clear to overcast in 20 minutes, while the forecast resolves at one hour and a few kilometres — both coarser than the cloud in front of you. That is why the wording is 'good / fair / poor' rather than a success rate. On site, your own eyes always beat any forecast.
